chinese new year 2005.
anyway for my non- malaysian friends...
a typical malaysian cny is practically travelling!
i count myself lucky for not having to travel to super up north like penany, alor star.
the 2 destinations i travel to are:
selangor [dad's place] and malacca [mum's place]
and it can be classified as:
kampong cny and city cny.
so...

I ENJOY THE BEST OF CNY- KAMPONG CNY AND TOWN CNY! BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!

hehe.
see those eggs.
the largest one is actually an ostrich egg.
the not so large one is goose's
the rest chickens.

and my uncle has a small farm opposite his house...
his two goose is so cute but freaking noisy.
and see their green shit.
my uncle even caught a snake in the enclosure!
of course, it ended up in their stomach.
but my uncle got bitten by it too.!

the mountain you see in the background,
is the main range.
and there's where genting highlands lies.
i could even see genting's fireworks display from my uncle's hse!
how big the fireworks are at genting and how close my uncle's hse is to genting.

we usually have our celebrations and everything at my aunt's hse which is walking distance.
first day of cny would be to the water fall!
serendah waterfall. beautiful!
and there's even a hot spring nearby!
fruit orchard..which i've been to when i was young.
and sometimes, my dad would take me on anybody's motorbike round the kampong.

so kampong life is damn nice. i always look forward to going back to serendah, which is an hour drive from kl.

oh ya. see the school?
that's my daddy's secondary school. in rawang.
15 min drive from serendah.
my dad used to go to school by foot!


second day- to malacca.
super jam @ seremban highway.
jammed like 2 hours before. because of a bottle neck.
i mean... 3 lane, become 2 lanes.

second night is usually at my lavish granduncle house.

this year the third day was a lil different.
my mum's ex classmates visited her!
and we also went to one of them house.
my sis and i are gd friends of my mum's classmates' children- er. we are family friend.
and also.

my uncle's friendsss and family also came visit him!
one is.. in singapore. wife is ex malacca state volleyball player!
another one is.. in guangzhou! i think he's also ex malacca state volleyball player.
er. my uncle was also an ex malacca state volleyball player.
how cool! =)

so my cny are very very very very very very rarely celebrated in johor bahru.
and, i travel nearly 1000km every new year.
this is a typical malaysian new year.
and i love it to bits and pieces.
